Jonathan Woods in Canada has built a beautiful 4 x 5 camera based on my design. In an email he writes:
“I built the camera as an “independent study” course during this, the final year of my photography degree at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada.
The camera is made of yellow birch, aluminum, and brass. The knobs are stainless steel. I made my own bellows, using the instructions found at the following link: http://www.instructables.com/id/bellows-for-large-format-camera/
It was the first such project that I’ve taken on and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and learned a lot (although sourcing materials was a real chore at times). Thank you for making your plans freely available to people like myself.”
